Aus7 Stand at the Liverpool AMRA exhibition 2011
Over the long weekend of October 1-3, 2011, the Aus7 Modellers Group had a stand at the AMRA's model train exhibition. The stand was ably manned by a small number of members who put their hand up to spend a couple of hours talking to the general public and interested modelers about O-scale modelling and the hobby of railway modelling in general.
I'd like to thank all those who helped out on the stand: Mark Fisher, Stephen Reynolds, Anthony Furniss, Ray Rumble & John Parker. Of particular note this year was the model display case constructed by Mark Fisher. This generated a lot of interest and prompted many trips down memory lane as people recognized a model they knew as a child.
Members are welcome to volunteer to help out on a stand at any exhibition the group might be attending. If you haven't put your name down for the roster simply walk up at the exhibition and offer to help out for an hour. It's an offer that will be gratefully accepted, I can guarantee it!
